Position Description:
This position will provide psychosocial services to all patients treated by the facility including in-center and home dialysis patients if applicable. In this position, you will evaluate each patient at admission and formulate appropriate treatment plan, provide ongoing casework and advocacy services for the patient to ameliorate medically related social or emotional problems, inform and clarify for patients and their families the facility policies and resources. The Social Worker re-evaluates at appropriate intervals those patients not seen on a regular basis as well as maintaining records in accordance with the policies of the Social Service Department and the facility in order to comply with E.S.R.D. regulations.

Requirements:
Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work. Certification: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure if applicable. Experience with renal patients or other physically ill population preferred.

Successful candidates will evaluate a wide range of psychiatric patients using various diagnostic and symptom rating scales. Specific experience with dementia as well as mood/anxiety and/or psychosis is required.

Position Requirements:

•   Minimum of a master’s degree conferred by a clinically-focused program in a mental health discipline such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Psychiatric Nursing.
•   Minimum two years of clinical experience with psychiatric patients
•   Several years administering psychiatric symptom rating scales and/or structured diagnostic interviews SCID, HAM-D, PANSS

Our mission is to address the pharmaceutical industry’s need to reduce the number of failed CNS clinical drug trials and time to market by providing high quality clinical assessments. We do this by connecting sites to a centralized team of highly experienced and well-trained clinicians for improved quality, less variability and reduced bias in interviews.

You will be part of an expert rating team, conducting assessments as part of a study protocol via videoconference or telephone. All Clinical Interviewers will undergo rigorous training on the various rating scales to be administered.  Training will be conducted by leading experts in the field and authors of the assessment scales.
